The Wattsburg Area School District Foundation is a
non-profit organization that raises private funds to complement existing school
budgets and encourages community and alumni involvement in our schools. As a
501(c)3 non-profit, the Foundation can also apply for grants that the District
itself is not eligible for. All funds raised by the Foundation directly benefit
the students of the Wattsburg Area School District.
The Foundation has already awarded college scholarships to Seneca students
and this year is planning to award teacher "mini-grants." These small
(under $500) grants can be used by teachers across the district towards
activities, equipment, or supplies that they would like to have but would not
otherwise be funded by the school.
The Foundation undertakes fundraising throughout the year (activities such as
the Bobcat Country Run and last year's lottery calendar sales) in addition to
accepting tax-deductible donations. You can also support the Foundation by
donating your time! We welcome volunteers to help organize and execute events,
garner support, and reach new partners.
Meetings are generally held monthly at the
middle school. Contact us at [email protected] if you are interested in donations
or volunteering. Donations can also be mailed to Wattsburg Area School District
Foundation, 10782 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16509.
