Welcome to 1st grade!  My name is Mrs. Shores and I am one of the first grade teachers here at Wattsburg Area Elementary Center.  I'm so excited to be here!  I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University and my Master's Degree from Syracuse University.  I taught 4th grade in Frederick County Public Schools in Maryland for two years before moving back home to Erie, PA.  I just completed my 13th year teaching here at WAEC (8 years in 4th grade and 5 years in 1st).

    On a personal note, Mr. Shores (who is a Title Reading teacher here) and I have 2 children.  Joe is in 8th grade and Julia is in preschool.
