Meet our Faculty and Staff
Stacy Cassano
Family and Consumer Science Teacher
Stacy Cassano has lived in the Wattsburg community her whole life and enjoys that she continues to be a part of it. Mrs. Cassano holds a BS in early childhood education from Penn State University and a BS in Family and Consumer Science Education from Mercyhurst. Before teaching at Seneca High School, Mrs. Cassano was a preschool teacher at a child care center.
Mrs. Cassano's extended family lives in the school district. She has two sisters, one brother, two nieces and nephews and one great niece. She also has a dog named Bear. She loves to watch football and go to NASCAR races with her husband, Rob. Mrs. Cassano also likes to golf as much as possible, when she is not working as an electrician over the summer. When she finds time to read, she enjoys reading Robert Fulghum. Her favorite quote from one of his books is, "Don't worry that children never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you."
Dave Hammer
Learning Support Teacher
Dave Hammer works as a Learning Support teacher for the Wattsburg Area School District. He had experience working at the Hamot Partial Hospitalization Program and was recommended to the WASD by his supervisor. Mr. Hammer also worked as a counselor at Harborcreek Youth Services for twelve years and Strong Vincent High School for two years. He worked at Presque Isle State Park for eight years as a lifeguard.
Mr. Hammer has a seventeen year old son, Jacob, who is a Junior in high school and a son, Isaac, who is three years old. Mr. Hammer reads many outdoor adventure books about mountain climbing and cove exploration. James Patterson is an author that he enjoys. Mr. Hammer loves to ski and mountain bike.
