The Wattsburg Area School District will prepare all students to meet the demands of a changing world by providing educational leadership and opportunities which challenge them to attain their potential.

Beliefs
1. Students enrolled in WASD schools are the #1 priority.

2. Schools must be a safe place where all persons are treated with respect and dignity

3. Effective communication and collaboration among school district, families, and community are essential to the educational process.

4. Administration, staff, students, and community are accountable for promoting and modeling the District's Mission and Beliefs.

5. Lifelong learning is important.

Goals
1. We will develop and implement a Public Relations and Communication System.

2. We will explore, earmark, and/or reallocate funding sources and expenditures that would allow for carrying out the Mission, Beliefs, and Action team recommendations.

3. We will identify and analyze existing policies to determine the extent to which they reflect the District Mission and Beliefs, and plan for necessary revision.

4. We will analyze Staff Development programs to ensure that they reflect the WASD Mission and Beliefs, and will make recommendations for modifications.

5. We will review the curricula in light of the District Mission and beliefs, as well as federal and state mandates, and make recommendations to implement revisions.
