Seneca High School

Guidance College Information

* College Information is available in the Guidance Office. There are a variety of local, state, and national college/univeristy catalogs available to view and/or sign out.

*Beginning in the fall of 2005, a survey was administered to assist students in the college selection process. All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders participated in this survey.

* The Guidance office also has a number of college applications for student use. Please see Mrs. Gee, the Guidance Secretary, to see if we have the application for the school of your choice.

* If applying on-line, please notify the Guidance Office so that we may send your transcripts. Your application will be considered incomplete, and most likely not reviewed, without your academic transcripts.

* In order to send out any student transcript and to protect your privacy, the Guidance Office must have a copy of a "Request for Transcript" form completed by each student. This form must be signed by a parent or guardian if the student is under 18 years old.

* Resource books are available to research career/technical, two-year and four-year college programs. Additionally, computer programs are available to help you select and view college options.

* College Recruiters also visit Seneca High School at various times throughout the school year. Please listen to morning announcements and/or check the Daily Announcement Sheet in homeroom. Please contact Guidance to see what colleges are currently scheduled. All college visitations require that students sign up in the Guidance Office for a pass in advance of the date of visitation.

* Please make an appointment to see your guidance counselor for individualized assistance.
