Description:

The purpose of this course is to develop a variety of skills related to math concepts you are likely to see in your future math career either in college or the work place. Your textbook, “Thinking Mathematically,” includes several topics and examples that pertain to real life situations.

Disclaimer:

Math content builds on previous information learned. It is expected of you to remember what was learned in previous math courses. In addition, you are required to not only learn the content taught in this class for chapter tests, but also to retain that information for future use. An excellent way to do this and stay organized is to have a notebook and folder or a binder to keep all papers and notes together. I will be challenging you to work hard and do your best all semester. I have high expectations for you and hope that you accept the challenge.

No exceptions will be made to this policy.

Calculators:

You will be allowed to use a calculator during this class. Calculators will be available to borrow during class, however, it might be a good idea to invest in one of your own for homework and future math classes.
