Welcome to Mrs. Young's Classroom

Welcome Paragraph- English 10: 
Content covered will include grade-level literature, writing, vocabulary, speech, research and others as deemed appropriate. Grades will be calculated from the assessments taken throughout the semester. Activities preparing students for the assessments will include but are not limited to: homework, in class work, practice activities, presentations etc. It is recommended that students and parents access Sapphire at least once a week to monitor academic progress.

I am available in homeroom.
 
Availability for After-School Help : 
I am available for after school help approximately 2 days per week, but students must make an appointment to ensure that my schedule is free.  Please make arrangements in advance whenever possible.
 
About the Teacher:  
Mrs. Young is in her fifth year at Seneca High School.  She earned her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and  a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Gannon University.  Outside of teaching, Mrs. Young enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  Her hobbies include outdoor activities (hiking, biking, etc.), reading, taking trips, and watching sports, especially football and hockey.
